Glider Utilization Report #

The Glider Utilization Report gives details of how many gliders from selected transactions were in use at a particular time. At the highest resolution, it shows how many gliders were used in each hour of the report period. A glider is regarded as being used during an hour if it flew at any point during that hour, even a flight ending with a landing at hh:01 or a flight starting with a take-off at hh:59 counts as use in the hour.

The intended use of this report is for fleet planning.

Only glider flights are considered. These can be further narrowed down using a transaction selector, which can also be used to determine the period for which the report is printed.

The options window for this report allows different levels of detail to be printed.

The Month Breakdown Tables radio buttons allow a choice of how the data for each of the selected months is to be printed. No month breakdown tables results in just the overall tables, described below being printed.

Hour-by-hour breakdown produces a table with one row for each hour during which any flying, as indicated by selected transactions, took place. This starts with the date (two digit year, month name, day in month) and the first letter of the day-of-week then the start and end times of the hour in question followed by the number of gliders used in that hour and their registrations.

Day-by-day breakdown produces a table with one row for each day (optionally including days with no flying indicated by the selected transactions). This starts with the date (two digit year, month name, day in month) and the first letter of the day-of-week followed by the number of gliders used in each of the hours of the day.

If the List gliders included in report check box is checked then the gliders which were selected are listed on one or more lines.

Finally the glider utilizations in terms of the number of hours with each applicable number of gliders used is reported. There is one row for each number of gliders which were used in one or more hours during the reporting period. These lines contain the number of hours in the period in which that number of gliders was used.
