Deleting Cash Received Headings #

Description #

To delete a cash received heading.

Conditions #

Write access. Month is open for start-of-month or daily transactions.

Cash heading is not in use as the cash received heading of any trial lesson type.

Note that, in principle, it would be OK for the cash heading to be in use by a trial lesson type which has been marked for deletion at the end of the month as the heading and trial lesson type would be deleted together. However, for simplicity, this is not allowed. Normally the trial lesson type would be deleted in one month and then the cash heading would be deleted in the following month.

Operator Level #

Manager

Usage #

In the main window choose Manager -> Cash Heading... to display the Cash Heading List window.

Select the cash heading to be deleted and choose Delete.

If the cash heading is in use by a trial lesson type as described above, then a dialog box is displayed showing the first such case found and the cash heading is not deleted.

Otherwise, the cash heading is marked as (to be deleted) and will not be copied to the state file of the following month (in effect, it will be deleted at the end of the current month).
