[ Overview ]

Concepts #

This section introduces the key ideas which form the basis of the operation of Max2. They are described in more detail in following sections.

Accounts #

Max2 keeps separate accounts for each of the club's full and temporary members. These contain relatively static information such as the holder's name and address and information which is updated regularly such as the money and aerotow credit balances.

Transactions #

These are the basic units of input to Max2 and include glider and powered aircraft flights, cash received transactions, membership and course sales, account creations, modifications (such as change of address) and deletions, and changes to the rules used to determine charging for flights.

Charging Rules #

These are used to determine how flight transactions are applied to accounts in a very flexible way.
